The Main Squeeze … Check Spotify and you’ll see in the about, ‘nice wholesome band’; if you’re looking on Facebook you’d find ‘Five Piece w/ Sauce’; Wikipedia has a little more, ‘The Main Squeeze are an American funk band from Bloomington, Indiana.’
So why so few words? Perhaps it’s because The Main Squeeze lets the music do the talking. The Main Squeeze seamlessly blends the best of Rock, Funk, Soul, and Blues, transcending their music beyond traditional genres.
I first time I had been Squozen was hearing their cover of Tears for Fears’s “Everybody Wants to Rule The World.” To describe my experience as being blown away doesn’t do it justice. I was an instant fan and needed more, diving into their catalog of originals and covers.
If I’ve learned anything on this musical journey it’s that The Main Squeeze doesn’t do small! For your tour, dear reader, please start with the one and only “Dr. Funk”!
