Music We Love: Vulfpeck
Vulfpeck fans are on another level!!!
According to Wikipedia, Vulfpeck is an American funk group founded in 2011. The band has released four EPs, six albums, and a silent album on Spotify titled Sleepify, royalties from which funded Vulfpeck's admission-free tour in 2014. The band's most recent album, The Joy of Music, the Job of Real Estate, was released in October 2020
Not the most exciting bio, ey? Doesn’t seem to do the band justice. Perhaps, this is because it misses the major key factor into this band’s incredibleness! The key we speak of, the main ingredients that make this band so f-ing good, is the band members themselves. Simply the names alone send shockwaves through the music loving communities.
These fine folk we speak of are Jack Stratton, killing it on keyboards, drums and guitar, Theo Katzman, jamming on guitar, drums and vocals, Woody Goss, making all those tasty licks on keyboards, and Joe Dart, with the magic fingers on bass.

But the fun doesn’t end there … no no no, dear readers. The cherry on top of this funky cake, yeah I guess we’re sticking with food analogies, is all the herbs and spices they play with … hmmm, herbs and spices for a cake - Doesn’t really work … maybe a stew. This analogy has gotten out of hand.
What we’re trying to say is that Vulfpeck is the best because they play with the best. A handful of their usual go-to roster includes, R&B singer Antwaun Stanley, songwriter, guitarist and producer Blake Mills, guitar legend Cory Wong, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joey Dosik, and Grammy nominee Nate Smith, to name just a few. Trust us there’s more … if you don’t trust us that’s okay just look it up online.
